Job summary

Iterable is hiring a Software Engineer II to contribute to production-ready, scalable web applications. You will work in a highly remote/distributed environment, collaborating with teams across the globe and leveraging Scala/Java, Elasticsearch, and Postgres to deliver impactful customer engagement features.

You will own tasks with limited guidance, seek input where needed, and help shape efficient solutions while aligning with our distributed culture and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building production-ready, scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Scala and/or Java).
• Desire to work in a highly remote/distributed but collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks autonomously with oversight on new problems.
• Collaborate with team members to find best solutions.
• Contribute to design and implementation of scalable web applications.
• Maintain and improve existing services to ensure reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Proactively anticipate roadblocks and communicate progress.
