Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL is seeking software engineers to join development teams responsible for Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, and related systems. Onsite work is required to contribute to world-class software for aerospace and defense applications.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in a STEM field and have experience in C++, C#, or Java. A U.S. Secret clearance is required or the ability to obtain one; the role includes Agile processes and modern DevSecOps practices.

We are looking to add software engineers to our development teams for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance

• Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system

• Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Test-Driven Multi-Disciplined Capability (TDMC) Product Development methodology.
• A variety of domains such as battle management, command & control, communications, radar, missile, and/or modeling & simulation

Qualifications You Must Have :

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
• Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
• Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

• Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
