Position Title

Software Engineer II, Network - P3

Role

You will apply modern software design principles to deliver business value, focusing on system integration, synchronization, and data processing improvements within Crown Castle’s ecosystem. You will work on projects related to capacity management, change management, operational reporting, and automation, in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, reliable, scalable, and secure code using modern languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL Alchemy, Apache Spark, and Docker.
• Create data access APIs as gRPC microservices.
• Manage projects from design through deployment, including documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Expand your knowledge of application components and modernize legacy systems.
• Automate deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Utilize SQL to analyze and process data across various databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.

• Communicate technical challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and object-oriented design.
• Experience in system architecture, design patterns, and ensuring system reliability and security.
• Knowledge of web service protocols such as SOAP, REST, or gRPC.
• Proficiency with IDEs, debuggers, Linux, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).

Other Skills

• Networking or telecommunications experience is a plus.
• Experience with protocol buffers, observability tools like OpenTelemetry and ElasticSearch, and dashboarding tools such as Grafana or PowerBI.

Additional Information

This is a remote role with some on-site collaboration and up to 10% travel. Compensation ranges from $105,400 to $144,900 annually, based on experience and skills. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and holidays. The company complies with applicable laws regarding employment and background checks.
