Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise integration solutions and REST APIs within an agile DevOps framework. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to bank standards to minimize customer impact.

The candidate will contribute to application modernization, data exchange security, and scalable backend services, working from a U.S. Bank location at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions and services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and system integrations connecting internal and external platforms.
• Develop scalable solutions that enable secure data exchange and business process automation.
• Create and enhance workflow automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Contribute to application modernization initiatives, improving scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to analyze requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC including technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement and support application security, compliance, and risk management requirements.
• Perform code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and promote engineering best practices.
