Job summary

Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) is hiring a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate scalable services on AWS and across full stack. You will work on React applications for operators and planners, and backend services that process manufacturing data in real time.

You will collaborate with senior engineers on system design, with a focus on event-driven architectures, CDK infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines, shaping the next generation of shop-floor software used across

Qualifications

• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 2+ years of full stack development experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services on AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and Step Functions using event-sourced, domain-driven architecture patterns
• Build React web applications using the Cloudscape Design System for manufacturing operators, planners, and engineers
• Integrate AMS services with enterprise platforms through event-based and API-based integration patterns
• Design and implement API models, CDK infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines for new services
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design, code reviews, and architecture decisions
