Job summary

Best Egg, a market-leading fintech, seeks a Software Engineer to build and maintain our lending platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to design, implement, test, and deploy features, while improving systems, tooling, and engineering practices.

We look for 3+ years of professional development experience with Java and Python, solid database skills, and experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional development experience with Java and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of relational/NoSQL design and query patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment workflows.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and participate in design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver software iteratively under guidance.
• Implement small features and bug fixes with coaching from senior engineers.
• Write unit tests and follow established testing utilities and patterns.
• Perform testing and help improve test coverage and reliability.
• Support deployments and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
