Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to Generative AI and LLM platforms. The role is hybrid, requiring an average of two days per week at an HPE office, with responsibilities spanning design, development, testing, and production support.

You will work with experienced engineers to build foundational skills in LLMs, RAG, vector databases, cloud technologies, networking, and distributed systems, while following security and quality practices.

Qualifications

• Foundational software development knowledge from academic projects or internships.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang; APIs, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Interest in Generative AI and LLM concepts.
• Basic understanding of AWS and cloud services.
• Foundational networking, scalability, and security concepts.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities based on objectives.
• Executes and writes portions of testing plans and documentation; debugs issues and suggests improvements.
• Participates with other engineers and external partners to develop reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborates with internal and outsourced teams on design status, progress and issue resolution.
