Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Software Engineer II to join Electronic Systems in Chantilly, VA. You will design, develop, and maintain applications using languages such as C#, C, Java, and Python, work with embedded systems, and integrate AI into products.

This role offers hands-on lab collaboration with hardware engineers, a focus on mission readiness for EW systems, and requires a strong OO design background and security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design and modern software practices.
• RF concepts familiarity is a plus.
• Signal processing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, C, Java, and Python.
• Work with embedded systems, including microcontrollers, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces.
• Develop intuitive graphical user interfaces for complex systems.
• Integrate AI technology into product capabilities.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in a hands-on lab environment.
• Debug and troubleshoot using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
