Job summary

Inogen is seeking a Software Engineer in Plano, TX to design, release, and maintain software supporting the manufacturing of respiratory medical devices. You will contribute across embedded, cloud, and mobile software, and ensure documentation and compliance with medical device standards.

The role spans multiple levels (I–IV) with increasing scope in design, testing, and architectural decisions. A strong team player with solid C/C++ skills and ISO 62304 awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering or related technical discipline
• 0-3 years of software design and testing experience
• Embedded knowledge in C, C++, Assembler
• Cloud/Mobile knowledge in Azure or AWS and languages like Python/Javascript
• ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 familiarity

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains embedded on-device, cloud-based, or mobile software
• Maintains and improves released software products
• Contributes to requirements definitions and design documentation
• Supports verification and validation testing of software
• Mentors and collaborates with cross-functional teams
