Job summary

Inogen is seeking a Software Engineer to design, release, and maintain software for respiratory medical devices. You will participate in all product development phases, focusing on quality, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.

The role spans Engineer I–IV with growing responsibilities, including design, testing, verification, and mentoring, to improve user experience and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• 0-3 years software design and testing experience.
• Experience in embedded C/C++ and cloud/mobile tech.
• Familiar with ISO 9001/13485 and IEC 62304 preferred.
• Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains embedded firmware and device applications.
• Contributes to requirements definition and code reviews.
• Supports verification tests to maintain quality.
• Mentors less experienced engineers (for higher levels).
