Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer II (.NET Developer) to join our growing team. The role is responsible for building .NET applications using C#, Entity Framework, Unit Test, and Azure DevOps. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications and coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. We are seeking a Software Engineer II (.NET Developer) for a contract position.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, build, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable web‑based services utilizing modern technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and document them.
• Engage with stakeholders and end‑users to gather, analyze, and validate requirements effectively.
• Write unit tests and code that align with coding standards and best practices.
• Possess knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and ability to deploy services to the customer development environment.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Support the team for any technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in full‑stack development from concept to UI and back‑end implementation.
• 2+ years of in‑depth working knowledge of ASP.NET Core using C#.NET, HTML5, CSS, MS SQL Server, Identity.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodology and eXtreme Programming best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and pair programming.
• 2+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Server.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server and IIS management.
• Experience or knowledge of building interfaces according to Section 508, WCAG, and WAI‑ARIA standards.
• Knowledge of implementing security best practices at the application development and hosting layers.
• Experience with a distributed version control system like GIT and SVN.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and experience in Azure DevOps Server for automated builds.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Requirements as per contract/client (Optional or Preferred)

• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
