Job summary

Era is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Engineering Services team, delivering single-click apps for the BigCommerce App Marketplace. You’ll work on backend Node/TypeScript and PHP, with React frontend, building scalable, multi-tenant solutions that ship quickly to merchants.

You’ll collaborate with product managers and architects, integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and OAuth, and help migrate data while maintaining high code quality and test coverage across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of programming principles and maintainable code.
• Backend in Node/TypeScript or PHP; frontend in React/Next.js.
• Experience with third-party API integrations (REST/GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain single-click apps across the full stack (Node/TypeScript, PHP, React).
• Integrate with BigCommerce APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows.
• Write performant, maintainable code with test coverage.
• Contribute to data migration projects and customer-focused features.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with Product Managers and partners.
• Move between projects and codebases, selecting appropriate tools.
