Motion Industries is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, install, test, and support information systems across multiple sites including Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA. Under supervision, you will analyze systems, propose policy changes, and implement software solutions to improve operations.
The role emphasizes troubleshooting, code development, testing, and ensuring performance, security, and scalability of applications, with a focus on production support and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and 3–5 years of experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying information systems.
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
- Experience in production support and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manages trouble ticket resolution for multiple applications.
- Provides production support by troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing and testing fixes.
- Uses back-end programming languages, and front-end script languages to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
- Codes programming logic for new or existing solutions following design specifications.
- Works on assignments with defined parameters requiring judgment and initiative.
- Handles installation, configuration, development, workflow design, monitoring, and upgrades of assigned software products.
