Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first fintech company building a clear, predictable way to pay over time. You will help scale our Cache Services on Redis and Valkey, productionize cache clusters, and automate self-service workflows while collaborating with client teams to optimize caching strategies in production.

Strong Python or Kotlin experience and deep Redis/Valkey expertise are required, along with on-call ownership for stateful services.

• The Data and Storage Services team owns Affirms data infrastructure across OLTP and OLAP systems.
• The Online Storage team provides managed databases as a platform for all Affirms services.

The Role:

• You will build and scale Affirms Cache Services on Redis and Valkey.
• You will productionize cache clusters and automate self-service workflows.
• You will partner with client teams on caching strategy and operate the fleet in production.
