Job summary

Choice Hotels International is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join the AI Operations & Enablement team in Scottsdale. You will design and implement infrastructure for governing and scaling AI across the organization, while collaborating with Enterprise Architecture to remove adoption roadblocks.

The role requires experience with AI tools, AWS, Java/Python/JavaScript, and CI/CD; it is a four-days-on-site hybrid position with a strong emphasis on governance, tooling, and enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, M365 Copilot, Power Automate or similar AI tools
• AWS experience
• Proficiency in Java, Python and/or JavaScript
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Harness or equivalent)
• Knowledge of SDLC, AI-DLC a plus
• Familiarity with Agile, SOA and OO programming
• Strong coding standards, reviews, version control, build and test practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Research AI solutions for adoption within Approved AI Tooling ecosystem
• Leverage AWS to create and manage infrastructure for AI tooling
• Set up data feeds to gather AI usage and cost metrics
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to scale AI tooling
• Implement governance guardrails for AI across the org
• Support LLM lifecycle management and benchmarking
• Create documentation and enablement resources for teams
