U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to analyze, design, test, develop, and maintain best-in-class software experiences. You’ll collaborate across teams and adhere to DevOps practices to ensure minimal impact to customer experience.

The role requires building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps, supporting AI-powered, data-driven applications, and contributing to RAG architectures while aligning with security and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python and OO languages.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with Azure and enterprise AI services.
• Knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions enabling CorePointAI capabilities across the enterprise.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications utilizing modern software engineering practices.
• Develop integrations for AI-powered, data-driven applications and enterprise automation initiatives.
• Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, including document ingestion, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering.
• Collaborate with Product, Management, Engineering, Data, and AI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD automated testing, monitoring, and operational excellence practices across the lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, reliability, and responsible AI governance.
