Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to analyze, design, test, develop and maintain software experiences. The candidate will work in a team using agile practices and DevOps, taking responsibility for software artifacts per U.S. Bank standards.

You will own full stack development, ensure scalable, reliable performance, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with engineers, product owners, and vendors to deliver value while upholding security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years of relevant experience.
• Hands on Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS.
• Experience with GitLab preferred.
• Agile SDLC and DevOps principles.
• Experience working in financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
• Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
• Creates optimal designs with scalability, reliability and performance in mind
• Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and drives improvements
• Communicates processes and results with all parties involved in the product team
• Ensures compliance and security best practices across development
