Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer 2 in Atlanta to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software using .NET/C# and Java Spring Boot. You will build RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions in AWS, collaborating with architects and product owners to deliver secure, high-performance systems.

This hybrid role requires 3+ days on-site in Atlanta. You will participate in CI/CD automation, code reviews, and production troubleshooting while advancing modernization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET 8, ASP.NET and Java Spring Boot.
• Experience building microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, API Gateway.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong database development skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and data modeling/ tuning.
• Experience with secure development practices and cloud security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software using .NET/C#, Java Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps.
• Develop cloud-native solutions in AWS using EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, etc.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define requirements.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to automate build, test, deploy, and monitor.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance.
• Ensure security and compliance through secure development and automated testing.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives across engineering teams.
