Job summary

Bankers Insurance Group is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop, support, and enhance business-critical applications for insurance operations. You will deliver scalable, secure applications and APIs, while collaborating with stakeholders, QA, PMs, and vendors.

The role is on-site in downtown St. Petersburg, FL, with Fridays as a work-from-home day for flexibility. You will own software delivery across the lifecycle and assist with cloud modernization and AI integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4 to 7 years of software development experience.
  • Experience building C#/.NET applications and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Java and/or Angular applications.
  • Strong SQL Server and database development experience.
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and APIs.
  • Support customer-facing and agent-facing web applications.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems, cloud services, and third parties.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across applications, APIs, databases, and cloud infra.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Fridays are designated as a work-from-home day, providing added flexibility!Bankers Insurance Group is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop, support, and enhance business-critical applications that support our insurance operations.This role requires a hands-on software engineer who is comfortable working across multiple technologies including web applications, APIs, cloud services, databases, and enterprise integrations.
