Role Overview

The Engineering team builds user interfaces, features, applications, and tools for our customers. We are in a growth phase and are looking for talented developers who share our vision of supporting small business success. This role is for a creative individual with strong engineering skills, opinions on product and design, comfort with ambiguity, and a collaborative spirit. You will help improve the LegalZoom experience and inspire the team by producing high-quality work that is customer-focused.

Responsibilities

1. Build software solutions that meet reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and performance targets.
2. Develop and define the architecture and technology stack for product experiences.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Technical Operations, Data Science, and other teams.
4. Debug production issues across services and the stack.
5. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role.
2. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
3. Passion for creating high-impact, high-performance user experiences across devices.
4. Experience with technologies such as React/Redux, Docker, Github Actions, GraphQL, SQL, No-SQL databases.
5. Experience or interest in working collaboratively with design, product, and data science teams.
6. Experience mentoring engineers.

Compensation & Benefits

The role is remote-first with a salary range of $92,700 - $154,500, depending on various factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses and stock units. Benefits include:
