Overview

The Engineering team at LegalZoom builds user interfaces, features, applications, and tools for our customers. We’re in an exciting growth phase and seek talented developers who share our vision for helping small businesses succeed. This role is for a creative individual with strong engineering skills, opinions on product and design, comfort with ambiguity, and a collaborative spirit.

You’ll help improve the LegalZoom experience and inspire the team by producing high-quality work with a customer-obsessed approach.

Responsibilities

1. Build software solutions that meet and exceed targets for reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
2. Define and develop the architecture and tech stack for product experiences.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Technical Operations, Data Science, and other teams.
4. Debug production issues across services and the tech stack.
5. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role.
2. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
3. Passion for building high-impact, high-performance user experiences across devices.
4. Strong skills in Javascript/Typescript.
5. Experience with technologies like React/Redux, Docker, Github Actions, GraphQL, SQL and No-SQL databases.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams including design, product, and data science partners.
7. Experience mentoring engineers.

Compensation and Benefits

Remote-first role with a salary range of $92,700 - $154,500, plus bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, PTO, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, wellness benefits, and more.
