Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Software Engineer II in Cambridge, MA to help shape the future of its Cloud Platform using Kubernetes and cloud-native tech. You will build features end-to-end, collaborating with product owners, architects, developers, and testers in an Agile setting.

Requirements include 2 years of relevant experience, a CS-related degree, Kubernetes proficiency, Go and scripting skills (Python/Bash), Linux knowledge, and CI/CD experience.

This role will leverage your Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies expertise. You will help build the next-generation platform for new products and services. The Golden Path cloud-native platform will be used to bring new products and services to market faster. This involves simplifying their performance, reliability, security, and operational needs.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 - $171,000/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
