Job summary

Technical Consulting Solutions (TCS), Inc. seeks an Associate Software Engineer or Software Engineer to join the IBCS program in Huntsville, AL. You will design, develop, test, and document software across multiple baselines within an Agile SAFe environment.

The role requires a STEM degree and 1–2+ years of related experience, with strong Java and C++ skills, Linux development, and experience with Git/GitLab, Jira, and Confluence. On-site work in Huntsville is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 1+ year of relevant experience for Associate role; 2+ years for Engineer role.
Strong object-oriented software development experience with Java and C++.
Proficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments; scripting with Bash and Python.
Experience with configuration management and source control tools (Git / GitLab).
Experience with Agile SAFe and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, test, and debug software to meet program objectives.
Participate in SAFe Scrum teams to maintain software across baselines for the IBCS program.
Work in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment across roles.
Develop and upgrade software in multiple languages with minimal operational changes.
Support documentation with Markdown and collaboration tools; assist in testing and code quality efforts.
