ENVENTION is seeking mid-level software engineers to support air defense planning and execution capabilities of the IBCS in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to mission‑critical C2 engagement planning with strong Java expertise and Linux deployment experience.
Join a team delivering complex C2 algorithms, working in SAFe/Agile environments, and applying DevSecOps practices with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket in a DoD program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise or tactical apps in Java.
- Solid background developing software on Linux platforms.
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM/SAFe) environments using Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence).
Responsibilities
- Develop Core C2 Algorithms in Java for air defense engagement planning and execution.
- Build, test, and deploy high-reliability software within Linux enterprise and tactical environments.
- Participate in Agile SCRUM and SAFe release trains, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Integrate DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and security automation into the software lifecycle.
- Leverage Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to maintain traceability and collaborate across teams.
- Collaborate with testers, systems engineers, and domain experts to integrate modules into total system solutions.
