Momentum Engineering in Annapolis Junction, MD, seeks a Software Engineer 1 to support development, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex software systems in a mission-focused environment. Responsibilities span front-end development, cloud deployment, workflow automation, and AI/ML integration across modern web, cloud, and DevOps tech.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, strong problem-solving, and experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and a JS framework.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Experience developing, maintaining, testing, and integrating software systems.
• Experience with Python and modern web development technologies.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience developing responsive web-based user interfaces.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-based deployment.
• Experience using Git and software testing frameworks.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Design user interfaces and dashboards.
• Build responsive web interfaces using modern JS frameworks.
• Develop Python/JavaScript/HTML/CSS/TypeScript code.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based applications and infrastructure.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker.
• Integrate AI/ML models into existing systems.
• Write clean, tested code and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
