Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking an entry level Software Engineer 1 for the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) in Norfolk, VA. You will design, develop, integrate, and sustain applications supporting NTB and LVC training, contributing to robust, low-cost solutions for fleet and joint training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Security+ or Linux certification is preferred.
• Interest in distributed simulation technologies and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems.
• Supports multidisciplinary research and collaborates with hardware engineers.
• Assists in determining user needs and resolving problems.
• Prepares operating instructions and assists in developing utility programs.
• Ensures software standards are met under supervision.
