Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Technology organization and support the growth and transformation of our Technology landscape. You will complete intermediate end-to-end engineering tasks, including development, testing, debugging, and health monitoring, based on user and system design specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 2 additional years of software engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of programming/development experience.
• Ability to decompose work and release in small batches.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering software with a steady, predictable pace.
• Clear, concise communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions for intermediate complexity tasks.
• Collaborate with team to analyze defects and incidents and escalate as needed.
• Work within team guidelines to tackle well-scoped problems independently.
