Job summary

impact.com is hiring an Associate Software Engineer in Santa Barbara to contribute to our agile engineering squads. You will develop, test, and maintain software powering our commerce partnership platform, focusing on high-quality code and meaningful tests.

You’ll work with Java, Spring, REST APIs, and cloud platforms, collaborating with distributed teams to achieve quarterly objectives and deliver business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 1+ years of professional Java and MySQL experience.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Experience building on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code for the impact.com platform, pairing with senior engineers when needed.
• Create unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams.
• Triage and fix issues to maintain platform health.
• Learn the technologies used by the squad and help onboard new members.
