U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to analyze, design, test, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software experiences. You will work in an agile environment, own full-stack code, and ensure customer-centered design and secure, compliant delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, adherence to DevOps principles, and contribution to the bank’s technology transformation through reliable software and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level coding skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge in Shell Scripting, GitLab, SQL and Linux functional testing (manual and automated).
• DevOps capabilities - containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD.
• Extensive knowledge in modeling and application design and architecture.
• Experience in Unit Testing (automation and CI integration).
• Experience in Agile Software Development (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Strong understanding of system and network architecture.
• Ability to identify, resolve, and retest defects.
• Expert skills in service virtualization, test case modeling, and test data management tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
• Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
• Adheres to architectural best practices with focus on scalability, reliability and performance.
• Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and improves operations.
• Makes sound design and coding decisions prioritizing customer experience.
• Incorporates feedback from code reviews to meet standards.
• Conducts code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance.
• Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
• Supports reliability engineering standards and emerging technologies.
• Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Prioritizes and sizes tasks for incremental delivery, communicates blockers early.
