Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Junior Software Engineer for on-site work in Middletown, RI. The role requires DoD clearance, a CS/CE degree, and 1–3 years of software development experience using C++11, Java, or Python.

You will design and maintain C++ applications for Navy submarine systems, containerize software for Kubernetes, and contribute to unit tests in an agile team. On-site benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in one or more of Java, C++11 (or newer), or Python; working knowledge of C++11+ and fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications for U.S. Navy submarine combat systems.
Package software as containers for a Kubernetes-based runtime environment.
Develop unit tests and support test coverage as features evolve.
Execute components and integration testing in lab environments and troubleshoot defects.
Collaborate with product leads and test engineers in an agile environment.
Produce clear, maintainable, well-documented code.
