Jobot in Manassas, VA is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, build, test, and maintain modern C++ applications supporting submarine combat systems. You will modernize existing code, package applications as containers for a Kubernetes runtime, and collaborate with test engineers in the lab to reproduce and resolve defects.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, a BS in CS/CE or related field, 2–4 years of software development experience, and strong C++11+ on Linux.

Qualificações

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Modern C++11+ with STL, smart pointers, move semantics, and multithreading.
• Linux development with Make or similar build system.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test, and maintain C++ applications for submarine combat systems.
• Modernize existing C++ code and migrate to a Kubernetes-based platform.
• Package applications as containers for Kubernetes deployment.
• Perform unit tests, test coverage, and lab integration testing.
• Debug and resolve defects with test engineers.
