Job summary

Mastercard in O'Fallon, Missouri is seeking a Software Engineer I to develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable software. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and gain expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern architectures.

The role focuses on translating business needs into reliable software, writing clean code, and contributing to APIs and microservices while learning architectural principles for scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• Experience with Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, and React/Angular.
• Understanding REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and Agile methods.
• Exposure to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and observability tools.

• Develop, test, maintain, and support software applications and services with guidance.
