What You Will Do:

  • Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) using C++.

  • Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.

  • Work in a highly collaborative team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to develop high quality software to support real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) systems.

  • How to support engineering process improvements, audits and peer reviews.

  • How to work within a highly collaborative software team and interface with other engineering disciplines as needed to meet program contract milestones.

  • How to update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Relevant work experience in software development using C++ (must).

  • Requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (Including internships).

  • Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and information retrieval.

  • Relevant work experience using software development using STL/Standard C++ Library/ Boost/et cetera in a Linux environment.

  • Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
