Job summary

The Trade Desk in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Software Engineer I to design, develop and maintain web services at scale using C#, ASP.NET and modern tooling. You will optimize queries, build developer tools, and work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and at least 1 year of OO programming, web development with JavaScript/React, and experience with cloud platforms and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field.
• 1 year of experience in software development using object oriented languages.
• 1 year of web development with JavaScript and React.
• 1 year of experience with REST API frameworks, distributed systems, Linux, Git, Python, SQL, client-server architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web services at scale using C#, ASP.NET and HotChocolate.
• Optimize application code, database queries and distributed system design to reduce infrastructure cost.
• Build command line or web based developer tools using C# and Python.
• Troubleshoot systems including OS, build/deploy systems and applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Provide guidance to new developers and participate in code reviews to improve quality.
