Job summary

The Trade Desk, a global technology company and the leading independent platform for digital advertising, is hiring a Software Engineer II in San Jose, CA. Telecommuting is permitted within normal commuting distance of the office.

You will design system architectures for internal web apps, implement with C#, TypeScript, React and .NET, and build REST/GraphQL APIs with secure coding practices. You’ll develop CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and collaborate with product stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with four years of experience or Master’s degree with two years of experience.
• Two years of coding experience in modern languages and two years in full-stack software engineering.
• Two years of technical communication experience including design docs and stakeholder updates.
• One year of experience with an object oriented language and Transact-SQL; SDLC including version control and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design system architectures and components for internal web apps and services, including front-end and back-end structures.
• Implement and maintain internal apps using C#, TypeScript, React, and .NET; develop REST/GraphQL APIs and SQL schemas.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines; monitor releases and resolve deployment issues.
• Develop automated tests and ensure test coverage; participate in code reviews for quality.
• Analyze usage and performance data to inform improvements and align with business priorities.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders; translate needs into technical designs and deliver incremental features.
• Own the full lifecycle of features and small projects, from design to rollout and iteration.
• Build AI-assisted tools in Python utilizing LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation to streamline tasks.
