Job summary

Onshore is hiring a Software Engineer I to help build our tax-automation platform. You will ship production code in your first week and own significant surface area in your first quarter, including schema, services, UI, tests, and deployment.

You’ll work daily with a senior engineer who reviews your code and guides your growth. You’ll also write the evaluative logic for what you ship, ensuring correctness as a core product.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in a typed language with experience in TypeScript.
• Evidence you have built and shipped software in any setting (work, internships, or personal projects).
• Clear, precise communication on technical topics, in writing and in person.
• High ownership, comfortable with ambiguity and proactive in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Ship production code in your first week and own real surface area in the first quarter: schema, service, UI, tests, deploy.
• Work daily with a senior engineer who reviews your code and supports your growth.
• Write evals for shipped work; accuracy is the product here and every engineer owns it.
• Build across agent pipelines, data ingestion, operator tooling, and tax computation.
• Learn a domain with depth where reading the source material helps you win.
