Job summary

Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in Bryan, Texas is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team. The role focuses on developing medium‑complexity software across web, desktop, and cloud platforms while supporting the full software development life cycle (SDLC).

You will design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack applications using JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, Node, and PostgreSQL, with Docker containerization and cloud services (Azure, AWS). Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Software Engineer or Applications Developer, including web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, version control).
  • Experience with SDLC, coding and system design, data flow diagram creation.
  • Partial telecommuting up to 3 days per week with supervisor approval.
  • All positions are security-sensitive and require a criminal history investigation.

Job Duties
  • Design, develop, install, debug, and test full‑stack web and desktop applications using JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, Node, PostgreSQL, and version control (GitHub).
  • Build solutions for both on‑premises and cloud (Azure, AWS) environments, including Docker containerization.
