Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) seeks a Software Engineer Mid-Level to design, develop, and deliver software solutions. You will provide technical leadership on critical projects, analyze requirements, and collaborate with the Chief Engineer to define features and timelines.

The role emphasizes design reviews, diverse problem-solving, and contributing to a high-performance team. Hybrid work up to 16 hours weekly in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with development and execution of test procedures for software components.
• Experience generating and reviewing software/technical documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Git, Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications and build products.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes with data-driven analysis.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions.
• Complete medium to large features independently.
• Identify and drive changes for the codebase or systems.
