Job summary

MS2, a national leader in transportation data management, is seeking a Software Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI. You will deliver end-to-end features across the SDLC, collaborate with product and QA teams, and progressively take on more ownership.

The role requires a BS in CS or related field, 3+ years of experience, and strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, C#/.NET, and SQL. GIS and ASP.NET experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and React
• Experience building production software with C#/.NET
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn unfamiliar systems
• Clear written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Deliver small to moderately complex features across the SDLC, from requirements through implementation, testing and release
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following team standards and patterns
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable tasks
• Contribute to system reliability and supportability through automated tests and debugging
• Triage and resolve defects in production and non-production environments
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality
• Create and maintain lightweight technical documentation
• Grow ownership over modules, workflows, or services over time
