Job summary

Apple’s Applied Sensing & Health team seeks a software engineer to drive health features across iPhone, Apple Watch, and macOS. You will architect and ship on-device sensing experiences using multi-modal data to delight users.

You will collaborate with hardware, health, and software teams to optimize privacy, power, and performance while collecting high-quality data to validate and improve algorithms for health and wellbeing features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Objective-C or Swift.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and power-efficient programming.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex software concepts to health, research, and clinical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement health features across iOS, watchOS, and macOS from concept to shipping.
• Develop sensor fusion algorithms using accelerometers, gyroscopes, heart rate, and more.
• Collect high-quality data for development and validate on-device performance with privacy constraints.
