Job summary

Inca Digital is seeking a Software Engineer for its Research & Development Team to design, build, and scale data products, infrastructure, and investigative tools from the ground up. You will report to the Head of R&D and drive architecture decisions for core engineering initiatives in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pass a U.S. Tier 3 background check as per federal rules.
• Proficient in Python with production data infra experience.
• Deep PostgreSQL experience including schema design and optimization.
• Graph data modeling and network analysis with Neo4j/Cypher.
• Experience deploying containerized services to AWS and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data infrastructure delivering APIs and dashboards.
• Model and deploy relational, document, and graph databases for workflows.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from internal and external sources.
• Own data quality, lineage, and reproducibility for production use.
• Automate orchestration and deployment via CI/CD into AWS.
• Collaborate with Head of R&D, data scientists, and investigations teams.
• Make architecture decisions and evaluate new technology.
