Job summary

Inca Digital, a veteran-owned data and intelligence company, seeks a Go backend engineer to design, build, and operate scalable services in a fully remote setting. You will work with AWS, REST/gRPC APIs, Kafka, and modern data stores to deliver robust analytics pipelines and client-facing APIs.

You will join a cross-disciplinary team including engineers, data scientists, and investigators to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable systems with strong emphasis on data quality and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience developing backend services with Golang.
• Good knowledge of Go fundamentals, including concurrency, testing, etc.
• Experience with REST APIs and/or gRPC
• Experience working in AWS environments
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS/etc
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis/DynamoDB
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services in Go.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and/or gRPC endpoints.
• Work in AWS-based environments and with messaging systems.
• Collaborate on microservices architecture and data storage choices.
• Contribute to observability and deployment automation.
