Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software for land-based gaming systems. You will work across C, C++, and C# stacks, contribute to system-level programming, and ensure robust, scalable solutions.

You will participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features on time. A strong foundation in OO concepts, debugging, and testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++/C# with strong OO programming
• Experience with Linux internals and debugging tools
• Familiarity with IDEs like Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, or CLion
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Google Test, NUnit, xUnit) and version control (Git, Perforce)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems for gaming applications.
• Write and run tests, and contribute to automated validation and CI processes.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
