Job summary
Light & Wonder in Chicago or Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to join a global engineering team delivering robust, innovative technology for land-based gaming. You will contribute to core engine development and cross-platform tooling that powers our products across casinos and operators worldwide.
You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical initiatives, optimize rendering and performance, and ensure platform compliance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Direct experience working on Unity, Unreal or a comparable commercial game engine.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and maintain core engine systems.
- Build engine-level abstractions and tooling for product development.
- Diagnose and resolve low-level performance issues.
- Contribute to core engine architecture decisions and roadmap.
- Partner cross-functionally with platform, tools, and product teams.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve code quality and productivity.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
