Meet the Team

The Cisco Threat Detection and Response Engineering team is seeking a collaborative and passionate Software Engineer with a strong interest in security. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing a cloud-based product that provides supplemental security for MS365, protecting end users from phishing, malware, and spam. Your responsibilities include developing solutions and tests for product features and integrations, emphasizing simplicity, usability, and customer satisfaction. Your efforts will maximize product value through quality, enabling continuous delivery of excellent outcomes for our customers.

Your Impact

As a Software Engineer, you will be a vital member of a highly skilled team working in dynamic, technically advanced environments. Our small, high-performing team has built this solution from scratch and continues to evolve the product through regular releases. You will be involved in all phases of the product lifecycle, from conception to development, go-to-market, and customer support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with at least 1 year of front-end web development experience and a total of at least 3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, including modern libraries like React.
• Experience with CSS/SASS, HTML, and converting design mockups into production code.
• Knowledge of code quality practices, using tools like Jest, ESLint, or SonarQube.
• Experience in building responsive SPAs and integrating with RESTful APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Redux and Next.js.
• Understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of secure coding standards.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with technology trends.
• Strong attention to detail.
