Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking engineers to build and own the facility side of energy control contracts for gigawatt-scale data centers. You will design messaging/state layers, publish real-time forecasts, and own data contracts that scale across sites and partners.

You’ll create observable systems ensuring conformance and performance with second-level feedback loops. Candidates should have experience with Go, NATS/Redis, and industrial protocols, plus a track record designing robust, scalable control

Qualifications

• Experience with high-throughput messaging systems and failure modes in production.
• Design time-series data models and understand write/read tradeoffs.
• Experience instrumenting services with Prometheus/Grafana or similar observability tooling.
• Built and owned production services required by other teams, with operability in mind.
• Ability to articulate design patterns and rationale, with strong system thinking.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the facility side of the energy control contract, including protocol and API layers.
• Design and evolve the messaging and state layer for real-time load management.
• Own data contracts and engineering standards across sites and partners.
• Create the constraint execution path to deliver feasible results within seconds.
• Develop observability to prove production conformance and health.
