Job summary

Cartesian is expanding its engineering team to deliver on-premise inventory positioning for enterprise customers. Engineers will own features end-to-end across the stack, collaborating with customers, product teams, and internal groups to translate complex requirements into practical software.

The role emphasizes building scalable web services, dashboards, and data-driven tools with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in building software products at a company with a high engineering bar.
• Willingness to get out from behind the laptop and go on-site to stores to gather product input.
• Track record of delivering complex, end-to-end features.
• Good judgement on structuring software for speed, maintainability and performance.
• Excellent written communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end across the stack and contribute to internal platform improvements.
• Interact closely with customers, the product team, and internal groups to determine what to build.
• Build mobile and web tools and scalable web services with modern Python.
• Develop dashboards turning usage data into actionable product insights.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
