Job summary

Swish Labs, based in New York, NY, is seeking a developer to build and maintain features across our platform, covering both frontend and backend, from borrower-facing application flow to underwriting services.

You will ship to production early, learn mortgage lending workflows, and grow into owning larger product areas over time. A computer science degree is not required, and 1–3 years of experience or a strong track record in web development are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience or strong track record building web applications.
• Comfort across the stack: modern frontend, backend language, and a relational database.
• Able to explain tradeoffs in your code and be curious, detail-oriented, and honest about what you don’t know.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the platform, frontend and backend, from borrower-facing flows to underwriting services.
• Ship code to production early and learn mortgage lending workflows.
• Write tests, monitor systems, and ensure software reliability.
• Work with APIs and integrations used by lenders.
