Job summary

Gallup's Digital Commerce team is seeking a software engineer to power online purchases and customer interactions. You’ll build across the full e-commerce stack, design APIs and develop integrations to create a flexible, scalable platform.

You’ll ship features in TypeScript, use Hono and Astro, and collaborate with senior engineers to tackle tough problems and improve the developer experience. On-site atGallup's Omaha office at least three days per week is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
  • At least three years of full‑stack software engineering experience.
  • At least three years of TypeScript or JavaScript experience.
  • Substantial experience building and shipping production applications.
  • Working knowledge of APIs that are intuitive, reliable and maintainable.
  • Experience with containers and CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience engineering features for e‑commerce or adjacent industries preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days per week.

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code while improving developer tools, CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
  • Partner with senior engineers to solve complex technical challenges while growing your own engineering expertise.

As a software engineer on Gallup's Digital Commerce team, you'll help power every online purchase and customer interaction. Working across the full e-commerce stack, you'll create modern commerce experiences, design APIs and develop integrations that build a more flexible, scalable commerce platform.

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • At least three years of full-stack software engineering experience required
  • At least three years of experience with TypeScript or JavaScript required
  • Substantial experience building and shipping production applications through professional work or open-source projects required
  • Working knowledge of APIs and what makes them intuitive, reliable and maintainable required
  • Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines and modern developer tooling required
  • Experience engineering features for e-commerce or adjacent industries preferred
  • A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days per week required
