Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation in Texas seeks a Software Engineer to support full life cycle software solutions for the C3I&N Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with end users and network teams to ensure software integrates with existing infrastructure, follows the SDLC, and leverages DevOps for cloud and non-cloud environments. Knowledge of DoD processes is a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering experience, including DoD environments.
Bachelor’s degree required; experience may substitute for degree.
US citizenship required with current TS/SCI clearance.
Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Determine operational feasibility by evaluating requirements, analysis, and proposed solutions.
Document and demonstrate solutions with documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code.
Prepare and install solutions by designing system specifications and standards.
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes.
Obtain and license software by evaluating vendors and testing products.
Provide information by analyzing development and service issues.
Develop software by studying information needs and conferring with users.
Study systems flow, data usage, and work processes; follow SDLC.
Plan and implement agile acquisition/software development techniques.
Plan and implement DevOps processes for Cloud and non-cloud applications.
